WHAT IS NCMA?
NCMA is
an adult Non-Contact Martial Arts program designed to get you and keep
you fit, flexible, strong, and sharp while avoiding the rigors of
physical contact that can lead to bruising, strains, physical stress,
and intense competition.
WHO WILL BE
TEACHING THE NCMA CLASS?
The
school's chief instructor Greg Gargas, who has more than 35 years of
Martial Arts experience, as well as other experienced Gargas Martial
Arts Black
Belts.
IS IT
WORTHWHILE TO PRACTICE MARTIAL ARTS WITHOUT CONTACT?
Absolutely! The classes will be challenging and
will consist of stretching, strength training, abdominal workouts, bag
and pad work, developing solid punch and kick combinations as well as
learning Kata. If you're not familiar with KATA, you'll find that it will
have you moving in ways you thought not possible and teach you how to
generate energy (chi) from your body.
WHAT IS THE
ATTIRE FOR THE NCMA CLASS?
Sweatpants,
T-shirts
(no non-martial art writings or graphics) and bare feet.
Wearing a traditional gi is not mandatory, but may be comfortable for
this class.
WILL NCMA
HELP ME FEND OFF A STREET THUG?
Yes.
Not only will NCMA develop your punching and kicking power and
accuracy, it will also teach you about the proper mindset required to
fend off an attack.
WILL THERE
BE BELT PROMOTIONS AND CAN I ATTAIN A BLACK BELT?
No, NCMA is not a Black Belt curriculum, but you
will still learn much and become more powerful and fit.
WHAT IF I
WANT SOME CONTACT LIKE SPARRING AND/OR WRESTLING?
If you
would like this, you will be able to join in on sparring and wrestling
classes with the students from the 3 Point Martial Arts Program.
HOW DO I
SIGN UP?
A $29.95

never trained at Gargas Martial Arts. Previous students can
